If you’re going on Vacation, did you know that you could freeze your holds?
Well, What does that mean?
It means that you won’t lose that book you’ve been meaning to read for months (50 Shades of Grey? 50 Sombras de Grey?) while you’re on the hold list!
Lets say for example, you are the first person on the waiting list, but you’re going on vacation for a week and might not be able to pick up your hold in time.
Sounds Nerve racking, right?
Call/Visit/String two cans with one end to a Librarian’s ear (Not Recommended) and let them know you want to FREEZE your hold.
Prefer to do things yourself? You could also FREEZE your hold by logging into your library account. Go to Brentwoodnylibrary.org, and click on the Sign-In link on the top right-hand section of the page. Then, put in your username (or library barcode number, the number on the back of your library card) and password.
Click on the Requests (Holds) section of the page on the left to see your holds. Then Click on the item you want FROZEN and click on update holds. That’s all!
Just remember to UNFREEZE your holds when you come back.
