The shortlist for the Flaherty-Dunnan Best First Novel Prize is here. The Center for Fiction (Formerly the Mercantile Library) in collaboration with American Booksellers Association are awarding the prize to the best work of Literary Fiction. The winner gets 10,000 dollars, while the shortlisted authors receive 1,000 dollars. Come to the library and pick up a copy, or order it online. We’ll call or email you when its ready for you.
