The Library of Congress on Friday unveiled 88 books that have shaped America, as part of their multi-year celebration of the book. With any list, there are some eyebrow-raising omissions. The LoC (Library of Congress, y’all) doesn’t consider it an end-all be all list. Rather, it was made to spark a national conversation about books and reading. You could nominate your own favorites (in the age of self-publishing, nominate your own books too) by taking the online survery. What novels do you think should be on this list?
